FALL & WINTER 2010 LOCATION:

Our meeting place for the fall and winter of 2010 is 403 Olive Street on the West Side of Colorado Springs, Colorado. It's right behind Rick's Nursery & Greenhouse. Zip is 80904. Find it on Mapquest or Google, or email info@unchurchcs.com for directions.

We meet on the first and third Tuesdays of every month, starting at 7 p.m. and ending between 8 and 8:30. Childcare is provided. Please bring a small donation toward this if you are able.

• Started sending Unchurch emails to people who had expressed interest - March 14, 2009

• Reserved the trade name Unchurch (just in case we decided to do something with it) - March 1, 2009

• Worship gatherings at 7 p.m. on the first and third Tuesdays of each month at 403 Olive Street on Colorado Springs' West Side. Child care is available during these meetings. We ask parents to contribute $2.00 per child if you can, but don't let it stop you from coming if you can't.

Who We Are

Unchurch is a gathering of Christians who love God but, for various reasons, don't do church. Many of us live in Colorado Springs, but some of us are scattered throughout the world and connect via email and this web site. We are established as a New Church Start Project of the Rocky Mountain Conference of the United Church of Christ.

Unchurch was founded in May 2009, but God planted the vision for this forum in several hearts at least a decade ago. We call ourselves Quantum Christians, progressive Christians, postmodern Christians and emergent Christians. We are definitely another kind of Christian.

In May 2010, we received our first 12 members. If you want to "formally" become a part of Unchurch, go to the Contact Information page and send us an email. Don't worry; we won't slam you with emails or requests for money. We understand that even though you may not be interested in "joining" a religious group, sometimes it just feels right to have your name on a list with a cause you believe in.
