What I'm Looking For...
During our inaugural worship gathering, we introduced ourselves, talked a
little bit about what brings each of us to a nontraditional worship setting, listened to
some profound music by U2 and Michael W. Smith, and celebrated Communion
together.
We even invited the kids to join us for Communion, and when I explained what
it was by saying that if they want "a great big hunk of God's blessing and love,
they should take a great big hunk of the bread," they took me seriously! One
little guy even told his mommy he "wanted more God," so of course I gave him
some more God! And we didn't have any trouble finishing the bread (Hawaiian
Bread - yum!) and the wine during our fellowship time afterward!
