The Power of Gratitude
Did you know the apostle Paul wrote that by being grateful for something, we
have the ability to make it acceptable and permissible? (I'm sure he meant this
within reasonable limits, of course!) What a puzzling concept this is, and what
fascinating applications we could find for it! Here's an example: I'm grateful
for this day when I get to sit and do nothing but several months' worth of
updating on this web site. I haven't done much of anything else all day, which
could be seen as a negative thing (right, honey?), but because I am grateful for
it, it becomes a good thing! Hmmm... There's a whole lot of power in just being
thankful!
Happy thanksgiving! (Note the lower-case; we should give thanks every
day, not just when there's a day set aside for it!)
