What is Worship: Music
Just as with prayer, do you have any idea how many references there are in
the Old and New Testaments to singing and song? It would blow your mind!
Is Unchurch a singing group of Christians, or do we just want to listen to
relevant recorded and live music? We tried out a couple of songs and discovered
that music can indeed add to the worship experience, even at Unchurch. Any song
we use must be "singable" (in a key that's accessible to 21st-century voices)
and it must accurately reflect our postmodern theological views. A few
suggestions were made, and we'll start to build a repertoire of songs that work
for us.
Tanna graced us with her awesome gift of song with Jo Dee Messina's Even
God Must Get the Blues. How true.

Rev. Martin's unsermon, "Worship: The Song" was totally
spontaneous, so no manuscript is available. Sorry!
